Gideon Okeke and Sola Sobowale’s The Covenant continues to thrive on Netflix

The newly released Nigerian TV series, The Covenant, which stars Sola Sobowale, Gideon Okeke, and Zubby Michael, has been number one on Netflix Nigeria and continues to thrive.

The 5-episode TV series is an intense thriller with storylines that involve brotherly love, sacrifice, and, the best part? Militants with occult powers.

Additionally, The Covenant Nigerian series on Netflix also features fight scenes with body slams and great acting that adds an extra layer of excitement to the TV series.

The Convenant, Tv series Cast

Two brothers who were forced to fend for themselves after their mother Stella (Sola Sobowale) was forced to abandon them. However, the intense action-packed drama came after Dagogo ( Gideon Okeke) goes on a rescue mission to save his only brother, Celestine (Zubby Michael), from a dangerous militant gang after he was found, years after he was declared killed in action.

What happened to Dimeji Ajibola?

The Covenant was one of the last films directed by the talented director Dimeji Ajibola. The director passed away on November 3, 2024,  after battling an undisclosed illness.

The actor-producer collaborated with Ini Edo to produce the popular hit series Shanty Town. In fact, he wrote and directed yet another successful TV series, Ratnik, which stars Osas Igbodaro, and for which he won the AMVCA for best costume.

Other popular Dimeji Ajibola movies include Hoodrush, Saving Onome, Ruthless, Slum King, and Ovy’s Voice.
