Hilda Baci Becomes a Three-Time Guinness World Record Breaker

Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has kicked off 2026 on a high note after becoming a three-time Guinness World Record holder. The food entrepreneur shared the exciting update with fans on Instagram, revealing that she had been officially notified by Guinness World Records in an email congratulating her on the latest achievement.

Chef Hilda Baci was notified by Andrew Fanning, the Head of Client Partnering in the Records Creative Team at Guinness World Records.

She joyfully shared the news with her fans on Instagram, posting the email from Andrew Fanning with the subject line, “Congratulations, you are officially amazing (again)!!!”

It has come to our attention when comparing record guidelines of the two record titles that when you and your team attempted and achieved “Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice” you also achieved the record title of “Largest serving of rice” – so you have been proactively awarded this record title too.

Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has reacted to her latest Guinness World Records achievement after setting a new record for the largest serving of rice, describing it as a powerful way to begin 2026.

In a post shared on January 20, 2026, Baci revealed that she woke up as a three-time Guinness World Records holder, marking another milestone in her career.

The chef also used the moment to appreciate members of her team, giving special recognition to her marketing director at GBFoods, Oreoluwa Atinmo. Baci noted that the record-breaking feat would “not have been possible without her [Oreoluwa Atinmo], crediting Atinmo for everything “from idea to execution.”

Hilda Baci Guinness World Records

Hilda Baci is the chef and owner of My Food By Hilda fast-food restaurants. She is also popular for the Hilda Baci cooking class, where the restaurateur shares and coaches aspiring chefs on several intricacies of the food business, from recipes to business and marketing.

As a celebrity chef, however, Hilda Baci earned more popularity when she set out to break a Guinness World Record in May 2025. At the time, Hilda Baci broke the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest marathon, aka cook-a-thon. The marathon lasted 93 hours and 11 minutes in May 2023. Hilda Baci cooked continuously for four days, from Thursday, May 11, 2023, and continued through to Monday, May 15, 2023. She cooked over 100 pots of various dishes during her four-day kitchen stint.

Nigeria’s Hilda Baci was dethroned as Irish chef Alan Fisher surpassed the record with 119 hours, 57 minutes.

In September 2025, Guinness World Records confirmed her feat for cooking the largest quantity of jollof rice at once, breaking another world record in conjunction with Gino.

Here is a rundown of all Hilda Baci’s Guinness World Records and awards:

  1. The world’s longest cooking marathon, from May 11, 2023, to May 15, 2024, was awarded on June 13, 2023.
  2. On August 1, 2021, Hilda Baci won the Jollof Faceoff competition, ending the popular question, “Nigeria jollof vs Ghana jollof, which is better?”
  3. On September 12, 2025, Hilda Baci partnered with Gino Nigeria to cook the world’s largest serving of Nigerian-style Jollof rice. She cooked a whopping 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz). During the challenge, Hilda Baci used 1,200 kg of cooking gas, 612 kg of oil, 800 kg of Gino Asun peppered chicken, and more. The serving also produced over 16,000 plates of rice.
  4. On January 20, 2026, her record was updated to include the record for the world’s “Largest Serving of Rice.”
