The newly released Off Campus TV series on Amazon Prime Video is the perfect romance drama to usher in the summer. The Prime TV series, adapted from Off-Campus by Elle Kennedy, tells a story we have seen more than a few times before: the college athlete and the school nerd, with a fake romance that triggers real feelings. Somehow, however, Kennedy’s Off Campus adds an extra layer with complex characters and quite a backstory.
Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) struggles with his legendary father, who was abusive, and carries the fear of becoming just like him. Garrett Graham and Hannah Wells enter a fake relationship in exchange for Hannah tutoring Garrett so he can pass philosophy and stay on the hockey team. By the end of their deal, Garrett successfully passes his philosophy class, and Hannah gets the attention she wanted, but by then, both characters have already developed real feelings for each other.
