November 17, 2013 – Jude Okoye Skips Peter and Lola’s Wedding
Peter Okoye and his wife, Lola Omatayo-Okoye, dated on and off for about nine years and had a child, Cameron Okoye, before they tied the knot on November 17, 2013. However, their older brother, Jude Okoye, was absent from the wedding. At the time, P-Square’s publicist, Bayo Adetu, dismissed claims that the brothers may not be getting along and clarified that Jude was missing because he was stuck in Ghana. Fans assumed Lola Omatayo was a cause of the rift between the brothers.
However, in a series of videos posted by Peter Okoye, he disclosed that Jude Okoye deliberately booked a show in Ghana a day before the w⁷edding and barely made it to the wedding. Peter Okoye also added that his brother posted a picture with a group of artists, including Don Jazzy, who had left the studio to attend the wedding that day.

September 12, 2014 – Double Trouble Was Released
The brothers continued making music together, including their sixth studio album, Double Trouble, which features songs like “Personally,” “Bring It On,” and “Collabo.” It includes contributions from T.I., Don Jazzy, Awilo Longomba, and Jermaine Jackson. Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) spoke on the album, saying he considers “Ejeajo,” which features T.I., a flop, and blamed his twin brother for insisting on taking the first verse:

2016: Global Success and Peter Okoye started to go by Mr P
P-Square continued to make music and dominate both Nigerian and international stages. In March 2015, it was announced that P-Square would co-headline the annual Mawazine International Music Festival in Morocco, alongside global artists such as Jennifer Lopez and Pharrell Williams. Peter also partnered with GLO on a TV dance competition show called Dance With Peter.

Double Trouble: P-Square Separated Officially in 2017
SaharaReporters reported that P Square officially split on September 26, 2017, after a letter from Peter Okoye (also known as Mr. P) to P-Square’s lawyer, Festus Keyamo (SAN), demanded the termination of the contract between the group. In the letter, he cited reasons such as accusing Paul of slandering his wife and children on social media, and Jude Okoye threatening to kill him and his wife.
The brothers exchanged words on social media, with Paul Okoye seemingly blaming Peter’s wife, Lola, writing on Instagram: “Only a woman can come where there’s peace and destroy it.”

2018–2021: Solo Careers as Mr P and Rudeboy
Following their dispute, the brothers both ventured into solo careers with a string of successful singles like Ebeano, “Look into my eyes,” and “Just Like that,” from Peter, who even took some time to try out acting with an appearance in Genevieve Nnaji’s “Lionheart,” and in the Netflix original “Shanty Town.”
