Kerry Washington’s performance in Tyler Perry’s … almost mimics Olivia Pope to a T. Which is why we know that Kerry Washington is the absolute only actor who could have been Olivia Pope.
Damon Salvatore
Not to say other characters weren’t perfectly cast, but when considering the cast of The Vampire Diaries—with Zach Roerig who played Matt Donovan, who was even laughed at when he disclosed that he auditioned to play Damon Salvatore—in my head I can see other actors playing Stefan, Bonnie, and Caroline. In fact, on some forums, members have suggested that Victoria Justice should play Elena Gilbert. But for the character of Damon— from his eyes to his wit, and the perfect blend of confidence, sexiness, and danger, not to mention the chemistry between literally every member of the cast, whether it’s love-hate, hate-hate, brotherhood, friendship, and so forth—Ian Somerhalder was definitely the best actor for the role.
