Anthony Joshua is speaking out for the first time, sending appreciation to fans while also remembering his friends and trainers, Latz and Sina. Sina Ghami and Latz Ayodele were close friends of the boxing champion, who died after their car crashed into a stationary truck on Dec. 29, 2025. According to reports, the pair were on their way to Anthony Joshua’s hometown in Sagamu, a town in Ogun State, Nigeria, where Anthony Joshua visits his grandparents and spends his holidays.
Although he previously shared a picture with the families of the trainer and strength coach on January 4, 2026, this marks Anthony joshua’s first tribute to Kevin ‘Latif’ Ayodele, and strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami.

According to Anthony Joshsua, he didn’t realize how special they were, also adding that it’s tough for him, but “even tougher for their parents”:
Thank you for all the love and care you have shown my brothers. I didn’t even realise how special they are. I’ll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men. 100% it’s tough for me, but I know it’s even tougher for their parents❤ I have a strong mind, and I believe God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers 🙏
