Arsenal Wins the Premier League 22 Years After Arsène Wenger’s “Invincibles Era”
Arsenal F.C. will be taking home the English Premier League trophy, a feat that, for the last 22 years, fans had come to believe the football club was destined for fame and the big names, not necessarily the trophies.
With two more matches left to round up the season, Arsenal F.C. are the obvious Premier League champions after Manchester City F.C. were held to a 1–1 draw by AFC Bournemouth. This makes it mathematically impossible for Manchester City, their closest rivals on the league table, to catch them, sealing the title even with a game still left against Crystal Palace F.C..
The win is so monumental in football history that fans are struggling to contain their joy, while even Google has launched a historic fireworks animation to join in the celebration.
