The Sistas circle may be in for another shake-up as Novi Brown, who plays Sabrina in Tyler Perry’s Sistas, confirms she is leaving the Tyler Perry show after playing the role for 9 years.
Since Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 10 premiered and introduced two new cast members replacing the OGs — Ebony Obsidian’s Karen Mott and Novi Brown’s Sabrina — fans have been up in arms, wondering if the shift is permanent or just a temporary change to introduce new cast members and give others more screen time. Karen Mott has been referenced in season 10 of Sistas, which leaves the door slightly open for a comeback. However, with Sabrina, who was involved in a ghastly car accident in the Sistas Season 9 finale, things seem more uncertain from the first few episodes of the new season.
In the premiere of Sistas Season 10, it was announced that while Karen had moved to Seattle, Sabrina was in a coma after her ghastly car accident.
Will Sabrina Die in Tyler Perry’s Sistas?

Novi Brown announced on Instagram on February 12, 2026, sharing clips from her time on the Sistas set over the last nine years, writing: “After 9 incredibly beautiful seasons, I’m closing a deeply meaningful chapter.” She went on to share her appreciation: “I am beyond grateful for the journey, the growth, and the love. I am excited to step into what’s next — new stories, new characters, and new opportunities.”
Although Tyler Perry Studios hasn’t, and the most recent teaser for upcoming episodes of Tyler Perry’s Sistas hasn’t disclosed the fate of Sabrina in the series, all signs point to Sabrina possibly being killed off in the Tyler Perry series.
In the meantime, fans can catch Novi Brown on other projects, including the Broadway show, Othello on Broadway, which stars the iconic Denzel Washington, and more.
